I would never change anything about our wedding day but if I absolutely had to it would look exactly like Erika & Daniel's wedding day. Don't we all secretly wish we could get married in the backyard of a beautiful house that we grew up in?
Erika had reached out to me earlier in the year looking for farm tables and chairs for her backyard wedding, set on her parent's property in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey. Most importantly she was looking for moveable bars that could transition from cocktail hour to the dinner reception and eventually to the barn for late night.
Our reclaimed lumber bar cart (pictured below) and industrial bar cart on casters were able to be placed near the ceremony site and house for cocktail hour and then one was moved under the tent for the reception and the other to the barn for the after party. The bar carts were originally designed to be portable for us, not our clients, but it's such an added bonus when it works out for both of us.
In addition to our rentals, we created custom wooden signage throughout the property and on our rental items to direct guests. It's all about the first impression right? Pretty parking signs were placed along the winding driveway, leading to an even larger main directional sign. We transformed the shed in the backyard to a bar by installing ' B A R ' cutout letters on the cedar shake shingles. A 'Loot Bags' sign was placed on a wagon that sits by the front entrance of the house as a favor station. A 'Wishes' sign was hung from the well for cards and gifts. And lastly, Mr. & Mrs. signs for two chairs that sat in the middle of a sea of walnut cross back chairs and farm tables.
This wedding was so tastefully put together by the bride and groom with the perfect balance of personal touches to make this day truly unforgettable for them, their guests and us!
